CT2
As Ohio secondary and adult career-technical students seek higher education, the Career-Technical Credit Transfer (CT2) initiative allows for approved technical coursework to be transferred to state 2 and 4 year institutions of learning for college credit.
• Take equivalent technical courses anywhere within the public educational system.
• Obtain technical credits (upon enrollment in higher education) without unnecessary duplication or institutional barriers.
• Attain their highest educational aspirations in the most efficient and effective manner as a result of clear and consistent standards.

FINANCIAL AID
The purpose of financial aid is to supplement your and your family’s contributions toward your cost of education. Financial aid is offered to all eligible full-time adult students. Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s primary financial aid options include:
Grants – Federal Pell Grant. Gift aid awarded on need-based eligibility criteria.
Loans – Federal Stafford Loans. Federal dollars borrowed through guarantee agencies and the school. This loan represents debts that must be repaid.
Other aid – Local agency funding such as offered through the WIA (Job and Family Services) offices, Veterans Assistance, and Trade Adjustment Act. Apply at local offices.
To receive financial aid you must:
• Be a U.S. citizen, or an eligible non-citizen
• Be enrolled in a full-time program
• Have a valid Social Security number
• Make satisfactory academic progress
• Register with the Selective Service, if applicable
• Not be in default on any federal student loans or grants
To apply for Department of Education financial aid programs, complete the U.S. Department of Education’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Application can be made on the Web at “http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ or through the financial aid office. You and your parent (if applicable) should also get a Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the Dept. of Education to electronically sign your FAFSA.
